Approaches
My approach to care:

Kate (she/her) is a masters-prepared, Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over ten years’ experience working in the mental health field. While she offers treatment to patients across the lifespan, she primarily works with adolescents and adults. She values a holistic, patient-centered approach to the care of her clients while remaining sensitive to each person’s individual life journey, values, and needs. Kate has additional training in working with people who identify as neurodivergent and those who are experiencing mental health symptoms throughout the course of pregnancy. She enthusiastically affirms those within the LGBTQIA+ community and is proud to provide competent and compassionate care therein. Overall, she prioritizes providing a space where all patients, all feelings, and all identities feel seen.

Kate provides treatment including medication management for adolescents and adults with various conditions including mood disorders, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, attention and concentration difficulties, and perinatal mood and anxiety symptoms.

Outside of work, you can find Kate at thrift stores, interior decorating, or spending time at the park with her two dogs and husband. She enjoys the vibrancy of DC’s food scene and loves an afternoon at any museum. She is also a voracious reader and will accept all book recommendations eagerly.
