As a dually licensed clinical social worker and addictions counselor with over a decade of experience, I believe in the importance of a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, empathy, and respect. I draw from a wide range of evidence-based practices and tailor treatment to each client through a trauma-informed lens.
My clinical interests include severe and persistent mental illness, affective disorders, autism spectrum disorders with co-occurring diagnoses, trauma-related conditions, and substance use disorders. I am particularly interested in the intersection of mental health and medicine, with a strong focus on neurobiology and neuropsychiatry. I enjoy integrating insights from brain science into therapy and exploring how biological, psychological, and environmental factors interact in mental health.
My therapeutic approach blends cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), psychodynamic theory, and parts work, including Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed interventions. I also value the role of psychoeducation in the therapeutic process and find meaning in helping clients better understand the “why” behind their experiences, symptoms, and recovery.
I am committed to reducing stigma around mental health and addiction while supporting individuals in developing greater self-awareness, resilience, and connection.
