Jen Jackson is a dually licensed clinician with approximately 15 years of experience in various practice settings within the mental health system. As a licensed clinical social worker and a licensed addictions counselor, Jen realizes the impact of the therapeutic relationship as paramount to positive outcomes. Jen’s areas of interest and expertise include but are not limited to severe and persistent mental illness, affective disorders, autism spectrum disorders with co-occurring mental health diagnoses, trauma related disorders and substance use disorders. Jen’s additional background in philosophy allows for increased clinical adaptability, depth and various perspectives that can be utilized in treatment. Jen’s interests include elements of neuropsychiatry, addiction medicine, and the relationship between chronic physical illness and overall mental health wellbeing. Interventions used are often informed through the lens of cognitive behavioral therapy/dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptive and commitment therapy, psychodynamic, internal family systems and polyvagal theory.
