My approach to care:

Ms. Emily Villeneuve is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has worked in several different settings with a wide variety of people with different presenting problems and demographics. She is a graduate of Baruch College and completed her graduate internship at Daytop Village’s outpatient program. From there and over the past several years, Ms. Villeneuve has worked with adults aged 18 + experiencing issues with addiction, anxiety, depression, career challenges and stress, relationship issues, adjustment/transitional stressors, and trauma. She is constantly striving to be informed and competent working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and demographics, including having strong training and awareness working with the LGBTQ population.

Client’s can expect a nonjudgmental, respectful space to process their thoughts and feelings with what they bring into the therapy session. Ms. Villeneuve believes in an individualized approach, meeting people with where they are at in their process, and uses techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy. Above all, she believes in the importance of the therapeutic relationship to create change and success.
