Hello and welcome. I’m glad you are here and considering therapy. I believe that all people have the potential to experience freedom and joy. My goal in working with clients is to support them through this process.
I engage people from a relational position and bring a contemplative and somatic approach to my work. I incorporate insight oriented modalities and include elements of transpersonal psychology and somatic experiencing.
As someone who identifies as bicultural, I am consistently aware of the impact of culture, power, privilege and oppression on individual, familial and systemic wellness. I seek to understand each client holistically, considering their culture, childhood history and social position.
I have a warm and calm presence that nurtures a safe space for clients to explore all aspects of themselves. In the past I have worked in community mental health, integrated primary care, contemplative elder care and child welfare. Prior to my social work career, I studied clinical and medical herbalism, clinical nutrition and was employed as a natural foods chef and contemplative retreat manager.
