Bekka is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Communications from the University of Dubuque, and a Master of Social Work degree from St. Ambrose University. Bekka has been working as a clinician in different settings within the mental health treatment community for several years, including individual therapy work, intensive outpatient program work, and employee assistance program work. Bekka therapeutically supports adults coping with a variety of presenting challenges in a trauma-informed setting. She specializes in navigating anxiety disorders, inner-child work/childhood trauma, grief and loss, and relationship/attachment issues. She believes in a person-centered, strengths-based approach to therapy and works collaboratively with individuals to find the best treatment methods for them. Bekka utilizes a range of therapeutic modalities to support clients including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS).
In her free time, Bekka enjoys photography, time with her pets, and spending time outdoors as much as possible.
