Allie received her Masters of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and is an LSW. She specializes in working individually with adolescents struggling with anxiety and depression, including suicidal ideation and low self-esteem. Allie is passionate about helping teens and young adults feel heard and valued. She draws from a variety of modalities in order to tailor her approach to each client’s needs. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Behavior Theory, and Relational Theory. A common thread that Allie finds to be useful for many clients is the integration of mindfulness and grounding exercises in treatment. At the foundation of Allie’s practice is a commitment to a strengths-based approach – helping each client discover and foster their own strengths to help them overcome their barriers. Allie believes that non-judgement and unconditional positive regard are both crucial qualities in a therapeutic relationship.
