My approach to care:

Here to Help You Heal

As a licensed mental health clinician with nearly two decades of experience, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate the struggles and dynamics of various women’s health issues. These include anxiety, pregnancy loss, life stage transitions, and sexual identification for women and those who identify as women.

In addition to guiding individuals along their pathways to healing, I also specialize in relational distress between adult women and their mothers, undoing and refocusing the internalized messaging from childhood that no longer serve women as adults. Above all, I’m passionate about working from a model of empowerment and understanding the locus of control, and its effect on one’s mental well-being.

My Approach to Care

Therapy is a collaborative process. Working together, you can expect a direct approach to the therapeutic alliance, a challenging style that encourages you to expand your thought processes and openness to different treatment styles.

I utilize an eclectic approach to treatment, which includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help patients better understand the relationship between and among feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. Ultimately, this leads to greater personal change and the desired outcomes for each person.

A Journey into Exceptional Patient Care

The foundation of my work, with every patient, is imbued with self-determination, personal change, and resiliency. Working as a therapist upon this foundation is a true extension of who I am as a human being. Religion, culture, lived experiences, training, and gender have all shaped my approach to care, advocacy, and teaching when working with patients.

 Personal Interests

When I’m not seeing patients, you’ll find me running marathons with friends – so we can enjoy hot dogs at the finish line! I also love playing with my little rescue named Rocco, and making friends, family, and strangers alike laugh.
