My approach to care:

Mariah Ruffin is a dedicated therapist whose core values center on empowering and strengthening individuals, including children, teens, and adults, to realize and maximize their fullest potential. With over 11 years of experience in the social work field, Mariah is committed to creating a safe, supportive space where clients can explore, heal, and grow. Her values deeply influence her therapeutic approach, which blends creativity with clinical soundness.

Clients working with Mariah can expect a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment where they feel seen and heard. She believes in the capacity of every individual to grow through self-awareness, problem-solving, and healthier decision-making.

Her therapeutic style is client-centered and tailored to meet each person’s specific needs. Mariah values the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative partnership—one where trust, mutual respect, and empowerment guide the healing process.

“I believe that true healing begins from within and that each of us plays an active role in our growth,” she says. “My approach integrates trauma-informed care, mindfulness practices, and practical tools tailored to support sustainable change. It’s not just about addressing problems, it’s about uncovering strengths, building resilience, and creating healthier, more fulfilling lives.”

Mariah specializes in working with adults, families, and children, and has a particular passion for supporting men, women, and young adults as they navigate challenges ranging from life transitions to trauma. Her approach is holistic, faith-based, and strength-oriented, empowering clients to develop tools, strategies, and insights that align with their unique gifts and life goals.

“My journey to becoming a therapist started long before I earned my degree in Social Work. I’ve always had a deep passion for helping others. Over time, I’ve come to recognize the powerful role our minds play in shaping the decisions and paths we take. As I continue to grow in my practice through continuing education, evidence-based methods, and my relationship with God, my purpose remains clear—to walk alongside others in their journey toward healing and wholeness.”
