Emma Wescott, LMSW (she/her) is originally from the New York metropolitan area and is thrilled that you are here since seeking help is not always easy. Emma’s approach to therapy is a partnership to help you uncover as well as build on your inner resilience, explore new perspectives, and develop tools to create lasting change. Whether you’re grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, disordered eating, relationship challenges, or simply navigating life’s transitions, Emma is prepared to help you work through these struggles with compassion, honesty, and a touch of humor when it feels right.
Emma holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University and has received training in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, person-centered, psychodynamic, FFT, play therapy, and TF-CBT. Emma’s background includes experience with children, adolescents, teens, adults, groups, and families in community mental health clinics, legal settings, and within the home. Emma will collaboratively guide you to tailor her methods to ensure that they best meet your goals and symptomatology.
When Emma is not in the therapy room, you can often find her looking for a dog to pet or practicing yoga. Emma believes in the power of balance, and brings that philosophy into her therapeutic practice—life is challenging, but it can also be joyful and fulfilling.
