Hi, my name is Em, and I have spent the last ten years working in mental health care, as a therapist and as a clinical supervisor. In 2014, I graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a master’s degree in Counselor Education: Mental Health Counseling in Schools and Communities. As a licensed professional counselor and supervisor (LPC-S), I am qualified to work with all types of clients with a variety of presenting needs. My focus over the last 10 years has been working with individuals and families in need of a higher level of mental health care for eating disorders and mood disorders. This has included empowering families to build a healthier family system, cope with depression and anxiety, and establish supportive boundaries for all members.
In addition to providing eating disorder treatment, I have experience treating adolescents, young adults and older adults experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, grief & loss, as well as supporting LGBTQ+ individuals. As a member of the Queer community, I am understanding of the unique challenges in navigating a society that is not always supportive of your identity. I want to help my clients to build resilience and develop their capacity to manage how this, or any other identity, may impact their mental health. My hope is to build a safe and trusting relationship to support you in achieving your mental health goals.
