Doctoral Trainee
Gabriella Potter (they/them), B.A., is a doctoral trainee at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology. They have a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University in Psychology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Gabriella’s background involves addressing an array of mental health challenges including grief and loss, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and coping with systems of oppression. Prior to joining The Collective, Gabriella was with The Trevor Project working with LGBTQ+ young people in crisis, and worked at a hospice providing bereavement services. They utilize aspects of many modalities to ensure that clients are getting the kinds of support that are most useful for them, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Psychodynamic approaches. Gabriella believes that everyone deserves space to be heard, valued, and respected exactly as they are.
