In her work with clients, Maddie implements a strength-based approach and a strong belief that change is possible. She believes that challenges can be addressed and resolved, and even used for personal growth. Maddie views that her role as a therapist is to guide and empower individuals to tap into their own hidden wisdom and limitless potential.
Maddie primarily uses Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as they both search for not only the symptoms but the roots of the problems. She incorporates and integrates a variety of evidence-based techniques and interventions as she does not believe that “One model fits all”. Every individual is unique, and so is their story. Maddie tailors her approach to meet clients’ specific needs, goals, and aspirations and specializes in substance use and mood disorders, trauma, and attachment issues. She believes that when people adopt more adaptive behaviors and cognition, they open a door to a more fulfilling and happy life and a life that is true, authentic, and aligned with their true values.
Maddie offers her clients years of diversified experience as well as a capacity for deep interpersonal connection and empathy.
