My approach to care:

With more than ten years of experience working with adults as a generalist therapist in community mental health, I look forward to partnering with you on your mental health journey. I have experience working with a range of issues, including mood, relationships, substance use, and trauma with a particular affinity for supporting my clients in navigating life changes, enhancing self-esteem, and supporting mental health throughout pregnancy and parenting. I strive to be an ally for our LGBTQ+ community and carry a social justice ethos.

As we work together, I try to create a warm, non-judgmental environment where we can join together to consider the context of what is challenging you, pointing out what you’ve done well, and find opportunities to break patterns or create healing. I see myself as your copilot while we get you towards your goals.

I pull from various evidence-based practices like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), motivational interviewing, and somatic approaches. I’m certified in eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) therapy in which we tap into your nervous system to work through distress from past experiences to improve your life.
