Steven Merino is a dedicated and compassionate mental health counselor with more than 10 years of experience in the field of counseling and social work. He holds a master’s degree in forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and is a licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. Throughout his career, Steven has worked with a diverse range of clients, including individuals struggling with anxiety, personality disorders, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and relationship issues. He is trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, exposure therapy, employing a variety of evidence-based techniques to support his clients in achieving their mental health goals. Steven is known for his empathetic and client-centered approach, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment. He believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship as a catalyst for personal growth and healing. When he is not working with clients, Steven enjoys working out, playing soccer and reading. He is committed to fostering a balanced life and believes that self-care is essential to providing the best care for others.
