Alvin Butch Santos, Jr. earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin. Alvin is a board-certified PMHNP and has participated in extensive training in psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and integrated care models.
Alvin brings years of diverse clinical experience in psychiatric and mental health care, having worked in various settings, including inpatient psychiatric facilities, residential treatment centers, drug & alcohol detoxification & rehabilitation facilities, and outpatient psychiatric practices. He has provided care to individuals across the lifespan, from adolescents to older adults, addressing complex mental health conditions. Alvin has worked collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care.
Alvin specializes in managing mood disorders, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma-related conditions with the adolescent and adult populations.
