Jeanette brings empathy, humor and a straightforward approach to sessions and focuses on a collaborative therapeutic relationship in order to empower clients to be their best selves. She believes that when clients understand the “why” of their thoughts, emotions and behaviors, they have inspiration to change. Jeanette relies on an eclectic, dynamic and integrated perspective that uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR and Post Induction Therapy to guide the therapeutic process.
Jeanette earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education from the University of Colorado, Denver. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor. She has experience working with substance abuse, trauma and mental health for the last 20+ years and has worked with clients in the private sector, criminal justice system, an integrated medical and mental health center and community mental health.
In her spare time she loves being in the sun, reading books and playing with her dog.
